Chargé d'Affaires of Afghanistan embassy in Oslo, Bashir Ahmad Shukran, expressed condolences over the death of Swedish soldier in the Balkh Province of Afghanistan on Sunday, 17 October 2010.
“On behalf of the people, the government, and the Embassy of Afghanistan, I express my sincere condolences to the people of Sweden for the loss of their brave soldier Kenneth Wallin.”
The people of Afghanistan honor the memory of the brave 22 years old soldier Kenneth Wallin, who laid down his life for the cause of peace in our country. We are also grateful to the people of Sweden for their persistent support to Afghanistan as we rebuild our country into a stable and democratic nation.
The sacrifice offered by the Swedish soldiers exemplifies the deep commitment of the Swedish people to help Afghanistan.
