Ambassador Bakhtari meets with NATO's Representative to Afghanistan

Mark R. Jacobson currently serves as the Deputy NATO Senior Civilian Representative (SCR) to Afghanistan and the ISAF Director of International Affairs (INTAF) in Kabul, Afghanistan. In this role he helps to implement the political aspects of NATO’s assistance mission in Afghanistan as part of a comprehensive approach by the international community. He is also advises Commander, ISAF (COMISAF) on the political-military aspects of the campaign. Dr. Jacobson arrived in Afghanistan in August 2009 and initially served as the Deputy Political Advisor to COMISAF.

With Ambassador Bakhtari, Jacobson discussed the experiences of ISAF and NATO in Afghanistan, and NATO's further strategies in Afghanistan.
