The Embassy of Afghanistan celebrates the National Martyrdom Day
On 17 September the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Oslo paid reverence to the martyrs of the country on the occasion of the Memorial Week and the 12th anniversary of Ahmad Shah Masoud's martyrdom by organizing a gathering at the Embassy building for all Afghans.
H.E. Mrs. Manizha Bakhtari welcomed a large number of scholars, intellectuals and young people. Minister Counselor Mr. Ahmad Jawed Mojadidy mentioned the significance of remembering our martyrs, particularly our national hero Ahmad Shah Masoud, who lost his life for the cause of Afghanistan, and further,he also noted the importance of honoring this day with all Afghans. The event continued with a Khatm-e Quran, where prayers were prayed for peace, stability and solidarity for our people in Afghanistan. Afterwards the Embassy served traditional Afghan cuisines and beverages and the honorable guests had the opportunity to meet Ambassador, Minister Counselor, the other Diplomats and the staff of the Embassy. Lastly, the invitees had the opportunity to leave their best regards to the Embassy in its memorial book.
