Norwegian Government condemns the suicide attack in Paktika
In a statement released by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway condemns the suicide attack in Paktika.
According to the officials from the Afghanistan Government nearly hundred people including women and children have been killed and dozens wounded by a car bomb blast at a busy marketplace in eastern province of Paktika. The suicide bomber drove a four-wheel drive vehicle into the market in Orgun district of Paktika Province before detonating the explosives.
H.E. Børge Brende has stated in the statement released by the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, that he is deeply concerned about the violence and the attacks that are affecting so many civilians in Afghanistan. Once the new political leadership is established, it will be of crucial importance for them to take proper steps to address the security problems in the country.
