H.E. Deputy Foreign Minister Met with the Danish Ambassador in Kabul
On 18 March 2015, H.E. Hekmat Khalil Karzai, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with H.E. Uffe Wolffhechel, Danish Ambassador in Kabul.
While welcoming the Danish Ambassador, H.E. Hekmat Khalil Karzai recalled the friendly and historical relations between the two countries, and expressed that Afghanistan and Denmark have been partners and friends over the years, and wished to further expand this partnership in future.
During the meeting H.E. Hekmat Khalil Karzai appreciated the support of Danish government in counter international terrorism, building Hospitals and humanitarian projects in Afghanistan and said:” Our good relation with the Kingdom of Denmark goes a long way and is historical. The Danish contribution in the last thirteen years was a sign of solid friendship between the two countries.”
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan also requested from the Danish government to launch their educational projects such as building schools and supporting higher education institutions in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
In response the Danish Ambassador to Kabul, H.E. Uffe Wolffhechel, expressed gratitude for the meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister and said: “Afghanistan has a special place in Denmark’s foreign policy and we are ready to support the people of Afghanistan in every possible way.”
