President Karzai to address UN session

The President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan leaves for New York to Participate in the 63rd Session of United Nations.

President Karzai will deliver a speech at the 63rd session of the United Nations on Wednesday and will elaborate on the viewpoint of Afghanistan regarding international peace and security and pacification of Afghanistan and the region.


During the visit, the President will also meet with the Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Foreign Minister of UAE Shiekh Abdullah bin Zahid Nahian and Secretary General of NATO Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.


He will discuss with them the expansion of mutual cooperation, and the ways of strengthening peace and security in Afghanistan and the region.
