The fifth legislative year’s sessions inaugurates by the President of the country

The opening ceremony of the last session of the National Assembly Sessions was held on Saturday Feb 20th, 2010. In addition to the Presence of the President Karzai, other participants were the two Deputies of the President, members of the cabinet and the Supreme Court, Jehadi Leaders, Foreign Diplomats, General Stanley A. McChrystal, current Commander, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan, International Organizations representatives and the members of the both chambers of the National Assembly.

The outcome of London conference

On 28th January 2010, an international conference on Afghanistan was held in London, where members of the international community discussed the further progress in the development of Afghanistan. The conference was hosted by the United Kingdom, the United Nations, and the government of Afghanistan.
