Ambassador Manizha Bakhtari expresses condolences over death of Danish soldier

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Oslo, Manizha Bakhatri, expressed condolences over the death of Danish soldier in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan on Tuesday, 01 June 2010.
“I was deeply saddened when I learnt about the terrorist incident in Helmand which claimed the life of a Danish soldier and injured five other soldiers while serving to bring security and peace for the people of Afghanistan,” said Manizha Bakhtari in reaction to the news, and added:
The people of Afghanistan honor the memory of the brave soldier Sophia Bruun, who laid down her life for the cause of peace in our country. We are also grateful to the people of Denmark for their persistent support to Afghanistan as we rebuild our country into a stable and democratic nation.
The sacrifice offered by the Danish soldiers exemplifies the deep commitment of the Danish people to help Afghanistan.
