H.E.Jawed Ludin meets his Norwegian counterpart Espen Barth Eide

H.E. Jawed Ludin during a meeting with his counterpart Espen Barth Eide on Friday 30th September 2011, briefed the reporters about Istanbul conference.



In this news conference, H.E. Ludin briefed about close relations between Afghanistan and Norway and the Norwegian government’s role played during the past ten years in solution of matters and seeking settlement ways for Afghanistan. Deputy Minister of  Afghanistan Foreign Ministry, H.E Jawed Ludin appreciated Norway for its support and cooperation with Afghanistan and Turkey for holding Istanbul conference. H.E. Ludin considered Istanbul and Bonn conferences as two important incidents during the current year in Afghanistan and called it a new chapter in starting relations of Afghanistan with international community and taking new steps towards democracy and prosperous future. H.E. Ludin also briefed the reporters about Istanbul Conferences focusing on improvement regional cooperation and maintenance of peace and security in the region, H.E. Ludin added, the conference aims at seeking ways for solution of challenges as terrorism, extremism, narcotics and immigrations.
