Ambassador Ludin expresses his condolances for loss of Danish soldier in Helmand

Oslo, Norway

On behalf of President Hamid Karzai and the people of Afghanistan, I express my deepest condolences to the people of Denmark for the loss of one Danish soldier in Afghanistan yesterday, and also pray for the full recovery of another soldier who was wounded in the incident.


The sacrifice offered by the Danish soldiers exemplifies the deep commitment of the Danish people to help a country in need and build a safer world. I am confident that this sacrifice of lives would further strengthen the resolve of the Danish people to continue to help Afghanistan.
