H.E. Mr. Hamid Karzai Afghan President and Finish Prime Minister Mr. Jyrki Katainen signed an agreement on a strategic partnership between Afghanistan and Finland, today 29 April 2013.

Cultural and social meeting, organized by the Embassy of Afghanistan in Oslo, was held on Sunday, 14 April 2013.

Norway's Defence Minister visits Afghanistan

Norwegian Minister of Defence, H.E Mrs. Anne- Grete Strøm-Erichsen paid a visit to Afghanistan from 3- 5 December. During her stay, the Minister met with her Afghan counterpart, Afghanistan's Minister of Defence, H.E Mr. Bismullah Khan Mohammadi as well as Norwegian and Afghan forces, leading Afghan politicians and female parliamentarians.

Afghanistan's ambassador to Norway, H.E Mrs. Manizha Bakhtari held a bilateral meeting with Norwegian Defence Minister Mrs. Anne- Grete Strøm-Erichsen on 16 November. The two sides discussed Norway's contribution to Afghanistan after 2014 as well as other issues of mutual interest.
