Ambassador Ghafoorzai meets with Ambassador of Japan

Today, 9th December 2019 Ambassador Youssof Ghafoorzai met with H.E. Masahiro Tauchi, Ambassador of Japan to Norway. Ambassador Ghafoozai conveyed condolences over the tragic assassination of Dr. Tetsu Nakamura and hailed Dr. Nakamura as an individual “who embodied the very meaning and essence of humanitarianism.” Ambassador Ghafoorzai emphasized that Dr. Nakamura’s humanitarian work in Afghanistan helped bring bring positive and tangible change in the lives of ordinary Afghans and that his legacy would live on for many generations to come.

The two Ambassadors also discussed the situation in Afghanistan, bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as possibilities of joint initiatives between the two Embassies in Oslo on issues of mutual interest.
