Ambassador Barakzai Meets Afghan Organizers and Participants of ERAS Festival

Ambassador Shukria Barakzai met Afghan organizers and participants of ERAS International Cultural Festival; Mr. Lemar Ahmad Zian, Ms. Palwasha & Afghan singer Mr. Bezhan Zafarmal at the embassy. Initially Ambassador Barakzai welcomed them to the embassy and appreciated their efforts in promoting and introducing the Afghan cultural values to the people in the world especially Norway. Ambassador added that the Afghan diaspora living in Norway can play a major role in introducing the Afghan enriched traditional values. She promised embassy’s support in all the cultural work done by Afghans.

In response the Afghan organizers of the festival thanked Ambassador Barakzai for her support and committed that they would do more in promoting the Afghan culture and traditions abroad especially Norway.

ERAS International Cultural Festival was held on 26th and 27th August in Oslo where participants of a lot of countries living in Norway performed their national and cultural activities. This year the Afghanistan team also participated where they performed the fashion show, Attan (National Dance) & concerts by Afghan singers.
