President Ghani Congratulates H.M. King Harald V and PM Erna Solberg on Norway’s National Day

In separate messages to His Majesty King Harald the V and Prime Minister Erna Solberg of Norway, President Ghani has extended his cordial greetings and felicitations to the government and people of Norway on the occasion of Norway’s Constitution Day (National Day).

President Ghani expressed great pleasure in the fact that based on joint efforts and commitment, Afghanistan and Norway friendly relations and cooperation having grown and elevated to higher levels in recent years, while reaffirming Afghanistan’s firm commitment to continue further expansion of bilateral relations, cooperation and partnership in the way forward.

President Ghani further stated that Afghanistan greatly appreciated Norway’s longstanding solidarity, friendship and partnership with Afghanistan and, to that end, the invaluable contributions of Norway for Afghanistan in different fields and sectors.

President Ghani also expressed his best wishes for the good-health and prosperity of the people of Norway as they celebrate their National Day.

May 17 is celebrated each year as Constitution Day, commemorating the signing of Norway’s Constitution in 1814.
